    HDR has nothing to do with the audio, as in True HD, which is all about audio. HDR (High Dynamic Range), is a special encoding that applies more contrast and color to the visual aspects of the movie, and can only be seen on TVs that have HDR capabilities. If you have an HDR TV, than you definitely want HDR.
    True HD is a surround sound format, and is not the only one in use, but becoming the most popular.This is a web download, and they usually don’t have true HD, at least the atmos 7.1 version.

    Yes but because someone does not know about it and wants an HD audio format is no reason for rudeness. I am all about HD adio formats too but I also know what HDR is as I have the Sony UPB800 and my TV is HDR. But in all honesty a year ago I would be baffled what HDR was too. As I am commenting one problem I am having is I do not have an Atmos AV receiver mines is only capable of the HD audio formats. but I can not get my Av receiver to convert Atmos to… Read more »
